Meet Your Co-Hosts

Tom Ehlers graduated from Princeton University and completed Princeton’s Teacher Preparation Program. Early on, he developed a passion for learning which led to the inception of Method Learning. Running this small business allowed Tom to really focus on each student’s needs and spend countless hours tutoring with the belief that all students have the ability to succeed. In addition, he has worked as an educational consultant with school districts across the country and advises them on ways to improve the districts’ college admission test scores

 

Dr.-Amanda-Sterk

Dr. Amanda Sterk is the Director of College and Career Advising at Method Learning. Through her years of experience, Dr. Sterk has helped thousands of students plan their academic futures, explore career options, and apply and succeed for college admissions and scholarships.

She is co-author of the nationally recognized college admissions workbook, College UnMazed: Your Guide to Navigate the High School to College Maze. A graduate of the University of Northern Iowa, Drake University, and Creighton University, Dr. Sterk graduated with a Bachelors in Education, a Master’s in Counseling, and a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership.
